Brazil ranks first among coffee producing countries, responsible for more than 35% of world production. It houses numerous regions that cultivate the magnificent bean, among them, the state of Minas Gerais is the largest, responsible for more than 50% of Brazilian production.

Above all, the state produces 98% of Arabica coffee and has regions that contribute to such expressive numbers. Among them, the Cerrado Mineiro’s Region, covering around 55 municipalities, and having recognition for the work done with coffee, being synonymous with “know how” when it comes to production and process technics.

What makes Coffee from Cerrado Mineiro’s Region so different from the rest?

In this sense, the first Region recognized with Denomination of Origin, stipulated rules for each producer to obtain the quality seal. All thought in an exemplary way to continue the different characteristic of its specialty coffees.

In addition, the Cerrado Mineiro’s Region produces high quality coffee beans, the result of a terroir influenced by exclusive region’s characteristics, such as well-defined climatic seasons, ideal temperature and altitude. The soil, climate, planted varieties and the cultivation system give the Cerrado Mineiro’s Coffee its unique identity.

Another difference is the shared value. “Coffee produced with attitude, ethical, traceable and with high quality” is considered the slogan of the Cerrado Mineiro’s Region, acting in the creation of value for coffee and its entire production chain.

The region is ideal for the specialty coffees’ production, bringing a very high quality coffee’s sensory characteristics, having an intense aroma, delicately citric acidity, full-bodied and
unequaled flavor. All this, obeying the minimum quality of 80 points, according to the American Specialty Coffee Association’s scale, stipulated for obtaining the Café do Cerrado seal.
